The 507 Events Space might be in DC, but for one night, we brought the spirit of New Orleans straight to Capitol Hill. With Mardi Gras on the horizon, Taoti and The 507 team transformed our venue into a full-scale Bourbon Street bash—complete with live music, festive decor, and a packed crowd ready to celebrate.

Located in the heart of Capitol Hill (and just below our office), The 507 is a versatile event space designed to bring unique visions to life. From corporate gatherings to lively celebrations, it provides a blank canvas that can be transformed to fit any occasion.
The vision for this one was simple. To create an unforgettable night for friends, neighbors, clients, and the DC community. The 507 already provides the perfect foundation for any event, but for Mardi Gras, we took things to the next level—turning the space into a vibrant mix of a concert venue and a Bourbon Street speakeasy.

Finding Our Star(Crush)
A party at The 507 is always a good time, but Mardi Gras called for something extra special. With top-notch acoustics, space for a large stage, and the right technical setup, we had the perfect setting for live music!
Enter Starcrush, a local cover band that was sure to bring the energy and have guests rocking all night long.
Spreading the Word
With just a month to market the event, Taoti and The 507 focused on getting the message out through multiple channels such as:
- Custom event graphics tailored for Eventbrite, newsletters, and local signage.
- Social media videos and graphics to engage users and promote the event.
The response was overwhelming—over 100 RSVPs rolled in, setting the stage for an incredible night.
The Transformation
With excitement building, we got to work turning The 507 into a full-fledged Mardi Gras experience. This included:
- A concert-ready stage with professional lighting and sound.
- Festive decorations capturing the spirit of New Orleans.
- A full bar serving Hurricanes and other crowd favorites.

With 150 guests in attendance, the night was pure magic. From the moment doors opened, the space was filled with music, energy, and the unmistakable joy of a Mardi Gras celebration done right.
