Taoti’s Twitter Experiment
We call this the ‘Twitter Experiment” just because that’s how it started out: could we Twitter our way to the top of search engines? But we’ve quickly grown beyond just using Twitter. For reasons that will be discussed in this blog, our plan is to see just how effective a serious grass-roots marketing campaign can be. We only have one rule: we can’t spend any money. (We’ve got ways to separate out our paid efforts from these grass-roots efforts.) We’ve been at it for about two weeks now, and already we’re seeing VERY significant results. For starters, we’ve ‘claimed’ all but a single first page search listing on Google. (Up from only having about half of them before). Our traffic is up by 28% too. And the value of our domain–according to whoever determines the value of domains–has more than doubled. All within two weeks. Setting up this blog is the next step in our efforts. Posting here will enhance our public profile (after all, if you read this blog and like what we have to say, chances are it buys us credibility with you, right?) But beyond that ‘direct effect,’ our hope is that this blog provides the sort of secondary SEO effect that having external link-backs has (which is why we are setting this blog up on a 3rd party site and not our own website.) Please forgive us if we have awkward wording now and then. We’re picking our words carefully, as they have big SEO impact–even in a third-party blog.
Stay tuned. There is lots more to come. This is pretty interesting stuff.
